Spotlight On - Phil Cooper

Phil Cooper is a singer/songwriter and if you follow us on Twitter you'll have heard him as our Music Spotlight Musician for April.

Phil was the former frontman of folk band The Haiku, releasing a solo album 'Half Live' in 2014, and Technical Director of an internet company. In 2015 he quit his job to pursue his music career full time.

'Half Live' was an album recorded from 2 live shows with some studio additions.

He now has a new album out titled 'Things I'll Never Say' , a polished studio recording and all the makings of a professional musician. A stand out track is 'I Don't Have A Voice' a political anthem that is common in Phil's songwriting. He writes personal songs that mean something, calls to action that  engage his audience and inspire. This album shows he has many things to say and definitely has a voice and platform to share them,

You can listen to 'I Don't Have A Voice' below:

Phil is constantly on tour around the UK, performing his songs in various towns and venues. He encourages audience participation at gigs, including #gigdoodle asking gig goers to draw doodles, which he shares on his Instagram here.

Phil's album 'Things I'll Never Say' is available to listen to via Bandcamp, with links to purchase it digitally or CD format.

See his official website for current gig dates.
