Single Review - The Jackobins - One More Chance

‘One More Chance’ is the latest single from The Jackobins. The Liverpudlian alternative rock band have not disappointed with this particularly upbeat tune which has received a mega amount of positive support on the bands SoundCloud page and has received radio airplay from BBC Introducing, BBC 6 and Radio X, to name but a few.

The song contains the Jackobins signature indie rock influences, which become apparent as the song plays. On its first listen, the drum-filled intro immediately draws you in and you can tell that ‘One More Chance’ is an instant grower. Throughout the track, the excitement builds and there you will remain tapping your feet and bobbing your head. When you listen to this song you can imagine what it would be like to see and hear it being performed live – very energetic and memorable. Upon listening to it for the first time, it can be guaranteed that you will have it on repeat. A song that comes to mind when thinking of a way to describe it to someone I was recommending ‘One More Chance’ to, as it has a similar sound, would be Razorlight’s ‘In the Morning’.

For those who have not played any music by The Jackobins before, combine the sounds of Kasabian, INXS, White Lies and the 1975 and you have the epicness that is this band. They have many gigs and festival appearances planned and are thriving from the rave reviews they have received for this single and their music so far. Already they have supported Reverend and the Makers and The Enemy, so you can guess that 2016 will be an even bigger year for the guys.
