Spotlight on - Nina Baker

Nina Baker was our July Music Spotlight Artist. Read all about her below.

Nina Baker is a singer/songwriter and classically trained pianist from Norfolk/Warwickshire. Her debut track Single Bed won Best Song at the Unsigned Music Awards last year and the official video for the single was shown at Coventry Film Festival this July.

She is a proud Ginger and attended Redhead Day UK on 12th September and won Best Up & Coming Artist at the Music Of Ginger Origin (MOGO) Awards. Yes this is real :D @TheMOGOAwards @RedheadDay_UK

She was hand-picked by BBC Introducing to attend their masterclass and came runner up in MTV's Brand New for 2013 unsigned competition. Nina is definitely one to watch!

Her songs have been played on BBC Introducing Coventry & Warwickshire, BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music and more. She has been interviewed on Cambridge 105, Amazing Radio, BBC Radio Norfolk and Future Radio and on TV on Points Of View and Mustard TV.  On 17th September she made the front page of Norwich Evening News along side fellow Ginger Ed Sheeran <3

Her debut album Quite Frankly was released at the end of 2014. Self-written, self-produced and self-funded, it was recorded, in part, at Abbey Road Studios :)

She has extensively toured the UK, Europe and USA supporting many artists including Robbie Williams, Foxes and Ella Eyre and performed at Latitude and Homegrown festivals this summer.
