Bobby Long - New album and tour!

It has been two years since the release of Bobby Long’s last album, ‘Wishbone’ and since then Bobby has been busy creating his next masterpiece, ‘Ode To Thinking’.

Out on August 7^th, his third album was recorded in Austin, Texas and to which Bobby says will be a “record I know you will be proud of.” Produced by Mark Hallman, recording of the LP was done within a two week period which Bobby has described as exciting. He has expressed how ‘thankful’ he is for all the support he has been given from the beginning where the album was helped financially by fans via a fund-raising campaign on PledgeMusic (reaching his goal in five weeks!), and throughout the making process. 

The New York-based British folk musician recently performed on the Acoustic Stage at Glastonbury festival, and was backed by three UK musicians: Alex Sharman (bass guitar), Alex Starling (keyboards/bvs) who perform as The Ghosts, and Chris Duffy (drums). The set was an overall success, and songs such as Who Have You Been Loving, Hideaway, Devil Moon and Treat Me Like a Stranger were played. To do a show at this event, this was a perfect opportunity to be able to introduce his music to a wider audience who may not have listened to him before.

You will be delighted to hear that he will soon be embarking on a tour for ‘Ode To Thinking’ which begins in the UK on November 3^rd in Birmingham’s Hare & Hounds and ending in London at The Borderline on the 6^th. This tour will give fans a chance to hear the new tracks showcased live and of course be enthralled once again by Bobby’s enchanting onstage presence and poetic lyrics.
