1.  This is now the 3rd month of your #pinchpunch series. Can you tell us more about this series and this month's track Give Me Your Love ?

I'm continually writing new music and the #pinchpunch series allows me to release a track every month for people to hear and share as it's uploaded to my website and social media channels. It's a great way to get my music out to my fans/followers regularly. Give Me Your Love is the latest track - it's an upbeat love song (there really aren't so many of those out there these days).

2.  You grew up in North Yorkshire and started making music at a young age. What and/or who influenced you?

I come from a very small market town in Yorkshire called Ripon. We always had music playing in the house as I was growing up and my Dad loved playing the guitar (he taught me Status Quo songs on an old guitar we had in the garage). I remember hearing Tutti Frutti by Little Richard on an old 45 vinyl record when I was very young and thinking this was the most incredible sound ever  - I was hooked!!

3.  You have recorded in Los Angeles with multi-platinum music producer Jeff Blue. How was that experience?

Recording with Jeff Blue (and Sahaj Ticotin) was perhaps the most important experience of my career. I learnt so much during those sessions in LA.  It was great to work with someone who has so much knowledge of music and enthusiasm for making new music. Above all, it was fun, I think you can hear that in the tunes and the weather wasn't too bad either ;-)

4.  What's your favourite song to perform live and why?

I love playing live. I'm currently performing lots of acoustic shows in London and it's great to strip the songs back to just myself and the guitar. I really enjoy 'Tear It Up' and 'All I Want' because they are upbeat and the audience usually catch on to the choruses straight away.

5. Who is your dream musician to work and/or perform with?

Dream musician? Ooh that's a tough question........I really love the music Bruno Mars makes so it would be cool to work with him on a track. I'm a huge fan of Eli Paperboy Reed, Josh Ritter, Aretha Franklin, Ed Sheeran, Guy Chambers, Richard Hawley, Etta James, Bruce Springsteen, oh and John, Paul, George and Ringo so I'll give them a call and we could collaborate for #pinchpunch track 4????

6.  If you could only listen to 1 album for the rest of your life what would it be and why?

Only 1 album? That's harder than the last question!! I'd cheat and reach for the ipod!!

7.  What are your plans for the rest of 2015?

I'm continuing the #pinchpunch series, so look out for more videos and Soundcloud tracks. Alongside that, I will be releasing an EP later in the year with 2 singles taken from the LA sessions as a taster. I'll be playing lots of live shows, so keep an eye out for listings and come along.

8.  Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?

I haven't really thought that far ahead to be honest, but off the top of my head...headlining Glastonbury, 10 Brit awards and an induction into the Hall of Fame! Too much? Haha!!

9.  Could you give us a teaser of what's to come with next month's #pinchpunch track and beyond?

I'm looking forward to sharing the next #pinchpunch track with everyone. I'll try to keep it a bit of mystery until June 1st, but I will say that you can expect an upbeat slice of explosivepop.

10.  Anything else you want to add?

I'm currently putting together lots of exclusive content for the mailing list members, so please sign up at www.erniejacksonmusic.com to get loads more free music and please look out for the new video.
