Who else is counting down to 20th December? Why, you ask? That's the day Omsic launch their new social network for musicians and record label!
The record label was founded last year by a singer/musician named Mary Farley. Mary is a 17 year old girl who not only sings and plays guitar but has written songs for several artists. She's hard working. knowledgeable about the music industry and supportive of young and new talent. Omsic are London-based but are a team of producers, musicians and promoters from all around the world. The multi-talented team includes Ed Van, who's an amazing 24-year-old producer, musician and web programmer and Luis, also 24, a music business adviser.
Omsic's aim is to promote musicians on their social network and to sign new undiscovered talent directly from their site. They're looking to sign real talent. They want to make a real change in the music industry and sign musicians based on their natural talent, not manufactured pop or autotuned singers or bands with huge fanbases, which has become a trend.
Omsic plan to sign the best artists from their social network and release good music not just catchy pop songs. They want to build a music studio where Omsic artists can record, develop their talent and just be themselves in a friendly environment. Omsic want to become a major label someday and judging by their knowledge of the music industry, passion and their determination to make a change, they're definitely a record label to watch out for!
